Disaster in Oklahoma
What happened in Oklahoma recently was truly a tragedy. Today, President Barack Obama declared the State of Oklahoma a major disaster area. Federal aid will now be available to Oklahoma and individuals affected in the following counties: Cleveland, Lincoln, McClain, Oklahoma and Pottawatomie.
Here in Colorado, we’ve seen our share of tragedies. I’ve realized that you do not have to be directly affected to be touched by such disasters. During these times people pull together to get through unbelievable situations and now is no different.
If you can, I’m asking you to visit the Red Cross(www.redcross.org) website and make a donation to help those affected by these horrific storms. Your donation will help provide basic emergency needs to individuals that have been personally impacted by these devastating tornadoes.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone impacted, especially our first responders and all of the community leaders who have stepped up and taken the lead in helping those affected.
